Midlife Singe Mom Confessions – New Years Eve

My Short Share About New Years Eve

Yes, that's me in the picture...being goofy! With NYE only being a few days away, I find myself feeling relieved that it is almost over, yet anxious because it is one of many I have spent being single.  As a matter of fact, I usually have my son on NYE so having the night free is a welcomed change!  My only plan thus far is to go out and watch the Baltimore Ravens game in the afternoon.  I have some friends getting together and I am sure it will be fun but I am just tired of doing everything "alone".  I usually don't let it bother me but with each passing year, I find it to be one of the few times of the year that I focus on my relationship status.  With each passing year I think, "maybe this will be the year I meet someone amazing".  Truthfully, it just sucks at times.  BUT I always try to make the best of everything and saw this on Facebook today:

I thought it was hilarious.  I love Singles Swag.  Check them out on Facebook!

So with that...I wish you all a very Happy New Year!! It is okay to feel a little bummed about being single on a holiday.  You are certainly not alone!  Never forget your worth and be patient.
